About TB Elite Ice
TB Elite Ice was founded in 2023 with a passion for excellence in figure skating and a vision to inspire the next generation of athletes. Our team brings together talented skaters of all ages who share a deep love for the artistry, athleticism, and discipline of figure skating.
With world-class coaching and dedicated off-ice facilities, we provide a comprehensive training environment where skaters can refine their skills, build confidence, and achieve their goals—whether that means mastering new techniques, performing in front of an audience, or competing at the national and international level.
But we also recognize a difficult truth: the high cost of figure skating places this beautiful sport out of reach for many young athletes who dream of taking the ice. At TB Elite Ice, we are committed to breaking down those barriers. By offering access to quality training and opportunities regardless of financial situation, we believe every skater deserves the chance to pursue their passion and reach their full potential.

Off-Ice Training Facility
Our dedicated off-ice training facility gives skaters every tool they need to succeed, including vestibular training with a motorized spinner, ballet for artistry and form, sports performance training and recovery programs--all designed to build well-rounded, resilient athletes.
Competitive Focus
At TB Elite Ice, we are dedicated to developing athletes with a strong competitive focus. Our skaters train to excel at every level—competing in local events, advancing to national stages, and representing at international competitions. In addition, our athletes have the unique opportunity to attend specialized camps and clinics led by renowned coaches from across the country and around the world, gaining invaluable experience and inspiration from the highest levels of the sport

Pavel Dimitrov
Lead Coach
Pavel is a highly respected professional figure skating coach and choreographer with decades of experience guiding skaters from the very first steps on the ice to the highest levels of national and international competition. Throughout his career, he has successfully coached skaters at all levels—from beginners to elite athletes competing on the local, international, World, and Olympic stages. A former member of the Bulgarian National Figure Skating Team, Pavel brings firsthand competitive experience and a deep understanding of the sport to every session. He holds a degree in Coaching Figure Skating from the prestigious Sports Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria, and is both PSA rated and a U.S. Figure Skating Certified Coach. Known for his enthusiastic, hands-on, and detail-oriented approach, Pavel is on the ice daily, working side-by-side with his students to help them grow into stronger, more confident, and more technically precise skaters. He emphasizes foundational skill development for beginner skaters while expertly guiding advanced and elite athletes through complex elements like double and triple jumps, advanced spins, and intricate choreographic patterns. Pavel’s coaching philosophy is rooted in helping each skater discover and nurture their individual love for the sport while pushing them to reach their full potential. His ultimate goal is for every student to become the strongest, most graceful, and most beautifully expressive skater they can be.
Stanimir Todorov
Coach
Stanimir Todorov is a former Bulgarian pair skater and three-time Bulgarian national champion, best known for making history as part of the first Bulgarian pair to compete at the Olympic Games. He represented Bulgaria at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, showcasing his technical precision and artistry on the world stage. After retiring from competition, he transitioned into coaching, where he continues to shape the next generation of elite skaters. Currently, Stanimir works with TB Elite Ice Skaters, specializing in Moves in the Field, skating skills, and jump technique. His coaching emphasizes strong foundational skating, edge quality, and the development of technical consistency.
Ilya Tkachenko
Choreographer
Ilya Tkachenko is an accomplished ice dance coach and choreographer, known for his exceptional ability to blend technical precision with artistic expression. A former Russian national medalist and World Junior medalist in ice dance, Ilya brings a wealth of competitive experience and a deep understanding of the sport to his coaching. Now based at the International Skating Academy in Estero, Florida, Ilya works with skaters of all levels. His choreography is known for its musicality, and attention to detail, tailoring each program to showcase the unique strengths and personality of every skater. With a keen eye for performance quality and a passion for storytelling through movement, Ilya is dedicated to helping athletes shine in both technique and artistry.
Iliana
Babadjonova
Ballet Instructor
Iliana is a professional ballet instructor who brings her extensive dance background to the world of figure skating, helping skaters improve their form, movement quality, and artistic expression on the ice. A graduate of the Sofia National School of Dance Arts in Bulgaria, Iliana performed with the corps de ballet of the National Ballet and Opera Theater. After retiring from the stage, she returned to her alma mater as an instructor, sharing her expertise with the next generation of dancers. Now based in Tampa, she continues her teaching career at the Patel Conservatory. Iliana is passionate about using ballet as a tool to elevate skaters’ performance and artistry.
Jess Waschezen
Strength and
Conditioning Coach
Coach Jess brings over 20 years of experience in the training industry and is the proud owner of Level Up Fitness and Nutrition. Throughout her career, she has trained hundreds of athletes, from beginners to professionals, helping each reach their full potential. With TB Elite Ice, Coach Jess designs and delivers progressive training programs that focus on building strength, power, and overall athletic performance. Her approach emphasizes consistency, injury prevention, and long-term development, ensuring athletes not only improve on the ice but also stay strong and healthy throughout their careers. Passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated, Coach Jess is committed to helping every athlete level up and achieve their goals.
